How long after my session can I see my images?

I sometimes put sneak peeks up on social media or will usually email you a preview file within a week of your session.  Your full gallery will be online within 3 weeks from your session date.  Your gallery is password protected, you are welcome to share your gallery with whom ever you would like.

How/When do I schedule a newborn session when I don’t know when my baby will be born?

Newborn session can fill up fast depending on the time of year, it is important you contact me during your 2nd trimester.  We will pencil your due date on my calendar so I know to reserve some time in the week before and after for your newborn session. Then, when you have your baby, just give me a call and we’ll set up a date and time for me to come to the studio. Newborn sessions need to take place within your baby’s first 14 days of life, preferably between 5 and 10 days old.

Oh no, my baby is already 3 weeks old!  What now?

Take a deep breath and don’t worry!  We can still get some amazing lifestyle images of your entire family and baby in the studio.  We can also try some posed newborn photography if baby will fall into a deep sleep.  Either way your images will be amazing!

When should we do my maternity photos?  When should I contact you?

Maternity photos are usually done in your third trimester, between 28-34 weeks.  They can really be done at any time,  but waiting too long can result in an uncomfortable session with some of the more popular poses.  If you’re looking to make a collage of your entire pregnancy, I’d love to be a part of it.   My schedule can fill up several weeks in advance, so I recommend contacting me as soon as you know you’d like to book me.

What happens after we schedule our session?

Once an appointment is made, you will receive an email that will guide you on how our session will go and also has tips on how to make the most of our session. The email will cover everything on how to best prepare as well as what to expect the day of.  If you like, we can meet for coffee, tea or smoothie to chat about our session; colors, themes, props, the details are endless.  I want to know what your hopes are from our session together, and it’s always nice to meet before our big day.

Will we take our pictures in your studio?

Yes, the studio is full of so many amazing opportunities with both posed newborn and lifestyle photography.  The lighting is perfect for our session together.  If you home has beautiful natural light, I would be happy to schedule a lifestyle session in your home.  Studio hours are only Monday through Friday and sessions begin around 9am.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

That’s perfectly fine!  I am also skilled with studio lighting.  In the event of inclement weather that would prevent either of us to drive to the studio, we will reschedule, usually within the same week.

What happens if my child doesn’t cooperate during the session? Will we get a re-shoot?
    Yes, but this rarely happens.
What should we wear to our session? What types of clothing should I wear?
First, everyone should be comfortable!  I suggest neutral color so we don’t take the attention away from your new baby.  White, tan & beige work great.

We are very private and/or have very high profile jobs. What happens if we don’t want our photos online?

I respect your right to privacy and have a detailed model release that you will be sent upon booking a session. You are free to opt out of releasing photos on the internet through this form. In doing so, you also opt out of having sneak peeks before your gallery is available for viewing.
